Everything you need to know about getting your fireworks delivered or collected
Fireworks are classified as explosives and cannot be sent via standard couriers such as Royal Mail, DPD or Evri. Only a small number of specialist carriers in the UK are licensed to transport them, and those carriers apply a hazardous goods surcharge on top of standard rates. We subsidise our delivery costs to keep them as low as possible - delivery starts from £24.95 for orders over £50, depending on your location and order weight.

Fireworks cannot be transported by air or sea ferry due to their explosives classification. Please contact us to discuss your options.
Exact delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on your postcode and order weight. Delivery is available from £24.95 for orders over £50. If you are in a remote or highland area, please contact us before ordering to confirm delivery is available to your location and to get an accurate cost. Some areas of the Scottish Highlands and Islands may not be serviceable by our couriers.
Click and collect is available from both of our retail showrooms with no minimum order and no delivery charge. It is the most cost-effective way to buy fireworks and gives you access to our full range - including products that may not appear online. Our in-store team can also help you choose the right fireworks for your display, check safety distances for your space and advise on a firing order, all at no cost.
Dynamic Fireworks - Colchester, Essex
Open year-round. Easy access from the A12.
The Firework Emporium - Ipswich, Suffolk
Open year-round. Full range available in store.
Select the in-store pickup option at checkout to place your order for collection. You can also call ahead or visit without a pre-order - our team will assist you directly. Check our showrooms page for opening hours and directions.
Our standard delivery takes 2 to 3 working days from dispatch for most mainland UK addresses. Deliveries to certain areas of Scotland and Wales may take up to five working days due to the limited number of carriers licensed to transport fireworks in those areas.
For Bonfire Night orders (5th November): deliveries for the Bonfire Night season begin in early October. If you need your fireworks by 5th November, we strongly recommend ordering by mid-October at the latest to allow time to resolve any potential delivery issues. During peak season, courier capacity is limited and lead times can extend. Do not leave your order until the last week of October.
If the courier attempts delivery and nobody is available to receive the order, additional re-delivery charges will apply. Please ensure someone is available to sign for the delivery, or contact us in advance to arrange an alternative. Fireworks cannot be left in a safe place or with a neighbour due to the hazardous goods classification.
All orders must be paid in full at the time of ordering. We do not offer sale or return. Prices are subject to change without notice and firing times stated on product pages are approximate.
All fireworks in our range comply with the European Standard EN15947 or carry UKCA marking and must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Buyers must be aged 18 or over - it is illegal to sell fireworks to anyone under this age.
Occasionally a product may be out of stock at time of dispatch. Where this happens, a substitution of equal or greater value will be provided. We aim to keep product information on our website up to date, but stock can change rapidly during peak season. If you have a specific product requirement, contact us before ordering to confirm availability.
If your order is missing any items, contact us within three days of delivery. Send a written claim to sales@dynamicfireworks.co.uk including your consignment number, details of the missing items and photographs of the fireworks and packaging as received. We will work with our couriers to locate the missing products or arrange a replacement or credit.
If any items arrive damaged, take photographs immediately and notify us as soon as possible by calling 01206 762123 or emailing sales@dynamicfireworks.co.uk. Do not use damaged fireworks. We will arrange a replacement, collection of the damaged items, or a refund as appropriate.
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you can cancel your order within seven days of receipt. To do so, notify us in writing at sales@dynamicfireworks.co.uk to arrange a return. Please note that a collection and return fee will apply at the full cost of the specialist courier return. Given the cost of specialist fireworks delivery, we strongly recommend confirming your order before placing it - our team is happy to advise on any product before you buy.
Still have a question? Contact our team or call 01206 762123 - we're always happy to help.
Fireworks are classified as explosives under UK law and cannot be sent via standard couriers such as Royal Mail, DPD or Evri. Only a small number of specialist carriers hold the licence required to transport them, and those carriers apply a mandatory hazardous goods surcharge. Despite this, we subsidise our delivery costs - charges start from £24.95 and range up to £59.95 depending on your location and order weight. This is significantly less than the full specialist courier rate, which we absorb in part on every order.
We deliver to most of mainland Scotland and Wales, though delivery to these areas typically takes up to five working days rather than the standard two to three. Some remote areas of the Scottish Highlands and Islands may not be serviceable by our couriers, and additional surcharges may apply. If you are in a remote or highland area, please contact us before ordering to confirm delivery is available to your postcode and to get an accurate delivery cost.
Fireworks cannot be left in a safe place or with a neighbour due to their hazardous goods classification. If the courier cannot deliver, additional re-delivery charges will apply. Please ensure someone aged 18 or over is available to sign for the delivery. If you know you will be unavailable on a specific day, contact us in advance and we will do our best to arrange delivery on a more suitable date.
We strongly recommend ordering by mid-October at the latest for delivery before 5th November. Our Bonfire Night deliveries begin in early October and courier capacity fills up quickly as November approaches. Do not leave your order until the last week of October - at peak season, delivery lead times extend and there may not be time to resolve any issues before your display date. Ordering early also guarantees full product availability before popular lines sell out.
Yes. Both our Colchester and Ipswich showrooms are open year-round and you can collect the same day with no minimum order and no delivery charge. You can place a click and collect order online and collect when you arrive, or simply visit the showroom directly and our team will help you choose from the full range in store. Click and collect is the fastest and most cost-effective way to get your fireworks - particularly worthwhile on larger orders where delivery costs are significant.
Fireworks are prohibited on airlines and ferry and shipping companies due to their explosives classification, which means we cannot deliver outside of mainland Great Britain. This includes Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and any offshore island. If you are based outside mainland Great Britain, please contact us to discuss your options - in some cases an alternative arrangement may be possible, but we cannot guarantee it.
Our team is always happy to confirm delivery availability, costs and timescales for your specific location before you order. If you are in a remote area or have a deadline to meet, get in touch before placing your order.
