From compact garden rockets to powerful shell head options, there’s a rocket to suit every display. Our range includes everything from smaller Category F2 garden rockets for home displays to powerful Category F3 shell head rockets for larger open-space events. Rocket packs are an easy way to get started, offering a mix of effects such as colour bursts, brocade, crackle, and willow in one purchase. A single large rocket can create a powerful standout moment, while packs let you build a simple sequence with more variety and impact.
Whether you're adding a few rockets or planning a full sequence, there’s an option for every budget and experience level. Each product listing includes clear details on height, effects, noise level, and safety distance to help you choose with confidence.
Firework rockets must be launched from a stable tube or rack, firmly set in the ground and angled slightly away from spectators. Never hold a rocket in your hand or point it toward people, structures or trees. Always check the product label for the required safety distance. Category F2 rockets typically require 8 metres, while larger category F3 rockets require 25 metres of clear space between the launch point and spectators.
Be aware that spent rocket sticks will fall back to earth after firing, so ensure the fallout zone behind and around the launch point is clear of people and flammable materials. Always check wind direction before launching, and never attempt to relight a rocket that has failed to fire.

It depends on the size and category of the rocket. Smaller Category F2 rockets typically reach 30–45 metres (100-150 feet), while larger Category F3 rockets can reach around 60 metres (200 feet) - significantly higher than the effects from cakes and barrages. This height is what gives rockets their distinctive impact, making them ideal for adding drama, scale, and variety to a display.
A firework rocket is a type of aerial firework that launches from the ground and rises high into the sky before bursting into a display of colour, light, and sound. Each rocket is self-propelled using a motor, which lifts it into the air before the main effect breaks at height.
Rockets are known for their height and dramatic “lift and burst” effect, making them a popular choice for adding standout moments to any display. They’re typically fired one at a time, allowing you to control the timing and build excitement throughout your show.
The difference comes down to how big the rocket is and how much space you need to use it safely.
F2 Rockets are smaller and designed for garden use. They typically require around 8 metres (26 feet) of space and have a lower explosive content (up to around 75g NEC), making them suitable for most home displays.
F3 Rockets are larger and more powerful. They create bigger, louder bursts and contain more explosive content (up to around 200g NEC), but need much more space - usually at least 25 metres (82 feet), so they’re better suited to fields or open areas.
In simple terms, F2 rockets are ideal for smaller spaces, while F3 rockets are designed for bigger displays where you have more room.
In most cases, yes - rocket packs give you more variety than buying rockets than buying individually. Many packs include a mix of effects, such as colour bursts, crackle, brocade and willow, giving you a wider range of visuals in one purchase.
Single rockets are usually the largest and can deliver the biggest individual effects, making them ideal for standout moments. However, rocket packs make it much easier to build a sequence within your display without having to choose each rocket separately.

Place the rocket in a stable launch tube or rack, firmly set in the ground and angled slightly away from spectators. Never hold and light a rocket in your hand. Light the fuse at arm's length with a firework lighter or portfire, then move away immediately to the recommended safety distance. Never return to a rocket that has failed to fire. Make sure the fallout area - behind and around the launch point - is clear of people and flammable materials, as spent sticks will fall back to the ground after firing.
